Are human teeth recycled?

As usual, I woke up this morning, made a cup of Assam tea and breathed the day in. One of my teeth twitched with the heat of the tea and I thought maybe the enamel of that tooth was wearing. Last June I visited my dentist, Dr Maccle, for a check-up, so I guess another trip to my dentists Glasgow is due.

Opening my mouth wide in front of the mirror, I examined the tooth. Periodically, I use a teeth whitening product to give back the more natural tone to my teeth. Just looking at that tooth my vision started to zoom in and out (probably from all the focused concentration) and suddenly that particular tooth looked huge. Something like the tusk belonging to the elephant I saw at the zoo three months ago. I felt in need of an implant dentist Glasgow more than ever at that moment.

Thinking about this elephant and its tusk got me thinking about ivory, which is also dentine, and its use in creating piano keys. I tapped my tooth and the sound resonated in my head. A sensation is a bit like wearing ear plugs as you walk with the echo of footsteps in your head. Surely people all over the world must loose their teeth and those that choose to, replace these lost teeth with artificial teeth. I wondered if human teeth were ever recycled, a bit like hair to make hair extensions.

What happened to your tooth?

Today I took a walk and saw a sign outside our dental practice saying “Dental businesses for Sale.” It immediately brought back memories of when my child complained of toothache during the night. His temperature was high, so I took a look inside his mouth and noticed a broken tooth.

I said, “William, what happened to your tooth?” He said, “I hurt it when playing on the swings last week.” Down to our dentist in Nottingham we went in the morning for treatment. It never occurred to me before that a child may need cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/articles/root-canal.html treatment for a broken tooth. Yet Endondontic treatment can be done quite successfully on child primary teeth, like non-vital pulp therapy, and on permanent teeth. Saving the existing tooth is recommended over extraction.

Our dentist discussed William’s history of dental pain with us and asked questions about how he got injured. He even explained to William how he could avoid injuries to his mouth and teeth. I remember walking out of the practiced  feeling much more educated about dental hygiene and health than ever before! And, I wondered to myself: “Why had I not been told all this as a child by my dentist?” Some of the questions entering the mind when finding out your family dentist’s practice is for sale are quite intriguing and really show the changes in dentistry over time.

Some useful tips for brushing your teeth

If you want to have healthier, fresh, active and strong teeth and if you want to avoid seeing your dentist on daily basis, then you should incorporate proper and correct means of brushing your teeth. Many people don’t brush their teeth properly and hence they have to show to their dentist for pulp weakness or excessive bleeding. Therefore, in order to avoid such crucial circumstances you should take care of your teeth from the very first day. First of all, you should brush your teeth twice a day with a soft toothbrush and renowned toothpaste. You can find a number of fluoride and baking soda toothpastes in market. It is always recommended to use natural toothpastes because they are more efficient and have fewer side effects than commercial toothpastes which are rich in artificial flavors and artificial colors.

You should have short to and fro motion of your electric toothbrush. Furthermore, you should not use an electric toothbrush if your teeth are weak or infected. Otherwise, you can get jerks on weak or damaged teeth and can ruin up the circumstances. If you have your teeth all okay, then you can use an electric toothbrush with short vibration. Try to approach deeper and inner regions of your teeth where people concentrate very less.

Many people just ignore brushing the line of gum. They just don’t consider it that necessary and hence don’t care brushing it. One should understand that your gum are somewhat the base of your whole teeth. If your gums are weak, your whole teeth structure will get weak and discomforted. Therefore, you should lightly and softly brush the gum line. Harsh brushing can also cause excessive bleeding from the gum line. It again requires a soft bristle toothbrush. Similarly, in order to have good and charming odor in the morning, you should use mouthwash on regular basis. You can use mouthwash after having garlic meals or after drinking or smoking.

Illuminate your smile with Lumineers

Lumineers are a special form of veneers, which are used to create a dazzling smile. Lumineers are made of a very thin porcelain-like material, which is called Cerinate. Cerinate is a patented material, which is manufactured only in the Cerinate Smile Design Studio in America. Like traditional veneers, Lumineers are placed over the existing teeth to make the person’s smile look straight, healthy and bright.

Who can benefit from Lumineers?

Essex dentists can use Lumineers to completely transform a person’s smile; they can be placed over crooked, stained and chipped teeth to produce a gleaming set of pearly whites.

Are Lumineers expensive?

Lumineers are an expensive dentistry treatment but they are usually cheaper than porcelain veneers; the total cost of the treatment will vary according to which dentist you choose and where the clinic is located. Lumineers usually cost around £300 each.

What are the benefits of Lumineers over veneers?

The main benefit of Lumineers is that no work is needed before the Lumineers are fitted; they can just be applied directly to the teeth. The preparation stage of the veneer dental treatment can be painful so Lumineers could be a more attractive option for patients that are worried about pain. Lumineers are designed and manufactured to make the smile look as attractive as possible so patients can achieve a complete transformation; this will boost their confidence and make them feel amazing! Lumineers have also been proven to last much longer than traditional porcelain veneers; if they are well looked-after, they can last around 20 years, making them a great investment.

The Advantages of Dental Implants

Dental implants have many advantages for patients who use or require dental appliances such as dentures, crowns, bridges, or replacement teeth. While not everyone is suitable to have a dental implant installed, many patients who aren’t aware of dental implants are not only healthy enough to receive one, they could benefit immensely from it. Traditional replacements for missing teeth rely on messy adhesives or methods of attachment to healthy teeth to stay in the mouth. UK dental implants provide a much more secure hold.
Appliances attached to a dental implant don’t need to be removed, mainly because they are attached much like a real tooth is. Instead of sitting on the gums, the replacement teeth are attached to a device that simulates the root of tooth and attaches to the jawbone. This provides the same stability and hold that natural teeth have, and allow for a much more realistic smile and use of the dental appliance. Dentures attached to a dental implant no longer slip or shift around while eating or talking, giving the patient greater confidence. Bridges are most often attached with wire to healthy teeth, damaging those teeth. Dental implants hold the bridge in place securely without affecting other teeth.
